Well what can I say......Is Jeni's Flapjacks the next thing to be born in my little kitchen?  

We have just had four nights in a cottage in Scotland where the lovely owners had left us a tub of homemade flapjack.  It was absolutely delicious and Peter was left to eat the flapjack we had brought with us whilst I worked my way through it!!!

It got me thinking to when as a child we used to bake with Grandma in her small kitchen in the Lake District.  Her flapjack used to have cornflakes in it as well as oats.  So on our return I set about having a go and made a new recipe up and have just taste tested it.  I've eaten two bits and now feel like I can't move!

It's made with lashings of golden syrup and butter, there's no place for margarine in this recipe,  it's absolutely marvellous!!!

So if you're not in the mood for chocolate then try this fabulous flapjack.

These Caramel Krispie Brownies have been flying out this month!  They are part of our Gourmet Range and are like a full meal in one Brownie!!  A scrummy chocolate brownie which is them covered in Rice Krispies which are lathered in melted Mars Bars and homemade caramel sauce.  These are very special!!!

We are taking a limited number to each event with us and needless to say they are the first to sell out!!

Well look what happened!!!!  This is one of my favourite ever Brownies and I can not stop eating them!!!!
A delicious mint chocolate brownie with minty buttercream topped with lashings of homemade milk chocolate frosting.........what's a girl supposed to do!!!!
Apparently the official name for them is Grasshopper Brownies and being an old fashioned kind of gal I thought we should stick with it :) 
I was unsure how they would travel so I asked for some volunteers and sent four boxes out to those lucky people in the post.  I am very please to say that they all arrived in perfect condition and were very much enjoyed!
I have now listed them in the shop so if you like mint then these brownies are a must for you!!!  If you cannot see them listed then please contact me as sometimes if I'm low on ingredients I will take them off until I've been shopping.
They are part of my Gourmet Brownie Collection and I am sure you will agree they deserve to be.  

In order for my Brownies to take over the world I have been looking into getting them packaged so they can be available in local shops. 

The world of packaging is an absolute nightmare!!!!!  I have given up my business various times over the last few months and decided I am getting too big for my boots and should just stay doing the Food Festivals and shows.
But then I have a chat with myself and carry on!!!  Nothing worthwhile was ever easy...isn't that what they say!!!
So we have had talks, trial runs, sent hundreds of emails to packaging and printing companies....the list goes on.
I have had a new logo designed which is supposed to be me hahahhaha and I am very pleased with it.
We have bought various bags to trial with our heat sealer and have had stickers printed to begin with.  I packaged a few up yesterday to see how long they last for and some are going to be having a very exciting trip soon.....watch this space!!
I have hopefully now sourced some laminated card which will enable me to have the brownies flow wrapped which will keep them fresher for longer than my heat sealer but I am just waiting on these arriving.
The packaging world is not set up for small businesses and everyone wants you to order things by the 15000 min!!!  It is a minefield out there!!!
