Well what can I say......Is Jeni's Flapjacks the next thing to be born in my little kitchen?
We have just had four nights in a cottage in Scotland where the lovely owners had left us a tub of homemade flapjack. It was absolutely delicious and Peter was left to eat the flapjack we had brought with us whilst I worked my way through it!!!
It got me thinking to when as a child we used to bake with Grandma in her small kitchen in the Lake District. Her flapjack used to have cornflakes in it as well as oats. So on our return I set about having a go and made a new recipe up and have just taste tested it. I've eaten two bits and now feel like I can't move!
It's made with lashings of golden syrup and butter, there's no place for margarine in this recipe, it's absolutely marvellous!!!
So if you're not in the mood for chocolate then try this fabulous flapjack.
