Well look what happened!!!! This is one of my favourite ever Brownies and I can not stop eating them!!!!
A delicious mint chocolate brownie with minty buttercream topped with lashings of milk chocolate frosting.........what's a girl supposed to do!!!!
Apparently the official name for them is Grasshopper Brownies and being an old fashioned kind of gal I thought we should stick with it :)
I was unsure how they would travel so I asked for some volunteers and sent four boxes out in the post. I am very please to say that they all arrived in perfect condition.
I have now listed them in the shop so if you like mint then these brownies are a must for you!!!
In order for my Brownies to take over the world I have been looking into getting them packaged so they can be available in local shops.
The world of packaging is an absolute nightmare!!!!! I have given up my business various times over the last few months and decided I am getting too big for my boots and should just stay doing the Food Festivals and shows.
But then I have a chat with myself and carry on!!! Nothing worthwhile was ever easy...isn't that what they say!!!
So we have had talks, trial runs, sent hundreds of emails to packaging and printing companies....the list goes on.
I have had a new logo designed which is supposed to be me hahahhaha and I am very pleased with it.
We have bought various bags to trial with our heat sealer and have had stickers printed to begin with. I packaged a few up yesterday to see how long they last for and some are going to be having a very exciting trip soon.....watch this space!!
I have hopefully now sourced some laminated card which will enable me to have the brownies flow wrapped which will keep them fresher for longer than my heat sealer but I am just waiting on these arriving.
The packaging world is not set up for small businesses and everyone wants you to order things by the 15000 min!!! It is a minefield out there!!!
So the new logo is below :) Let me know what you think :)
It's Taste Cumbria in Ulverston this weekend. There are loads of amazing stalls and I am really looking forward to it. It's a great trip out if you are looking for something to do. I've been madly baking this week and have got nearly 600 brownies and 720 cupcakes ready!!!! No mean feat!! There are Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Oreo, Peanut Butter, Mint Areo and Jaffa Cake brownies on sale. No rest for the wicked though as we are at Accrington Food Festival next weekend so straight back to it on Monday morning!!! Have a great bank holiday everyone xxx
So here we have our latest product which we are very excited about. These Browndies are round chocolate brownies with a buttercream topping and then finished off with beautiful sprinkles. The are absolutely gorgeous. A little bit of glamour for the brownie!!
Here they are....the first ever 'Flavour of the Month' Brownies !!! I thought it was only fitting that they should be Easter related so I've decided on the Creme Egg!!!!
These can be ordered via the Shop Page for the month of April in boxes of six or eight depending on how good or bad you are feeling!!!
Last Saturday saw us at Clitheroe for their annual food festival. It was another amazing day just like last year. The Red Arrows even put an appearance in to make it even more spectacular. You must pop it in your diary for next year as it is one of the best Food Festivals we attend. There are loads of foody stalls and lots of demos to watch.
This weekend we are heading to the Thoroughbred Rehabilitiation Centre for their Open Day. It seems a long time ago since I was Yard Manager there and such a lot has changed. It's a lot less stressful with the Brownies than it was riding the ex race horses on the day!!!
On Sunday you will find us on Morecambe Prom for the Carnival. We have been part of this wonderful event since the beginning and there are lots of fantastic bands playing so come along and check it all out :)
I've tried a new flavour this week. I had a couple of goes before I decided on which one was best....needless to say we have done quite al ot of taste testing ;) So the question is.....with or without a sprinkle of icing sugar.........
So I am having a little revamp of my online Brownie packaging. These are my lovely lovely new labels which if you hadn't picked up on ...I love ;) Many thanks to www.purplescrunch.co.uk :) We are getting ready for lots of Fathers Day orders to run along side all the fairs we are doing at the moment.
We were in Ulverston last weekend and the weather was mixed from 24 degrees to torrential rain! But none the less the lovely people of Ulverston all came out to support their town and bought all our browines and cupcakes! This weekend we are at Accrington Food Festival for the first time, so if you are out and about please come and say 'Hello' :)
Tuesday was a very exciting day in Brownie land. This special Brownies was presented to Prince Charles in Clitheroe on his Royal visit. He came despite horrendous weather and talked to us about our Brownies and where they are made and sold. Prince Charles seemed delighted when I showed him the brownie and took it away with him.
Hi, I'm Jeni Ball and I would like my Brownies to rule the world!!!!
